Harvest season is approaching!

As we are continuing to get to know Wes Shoemyer, we simply cannot stop finding connections that this candidate has with the people of his district! In the past two weekly columns written by the senator, found on KTVO, Shoemyer has further shown us his rural background and values, his belief in the district’s higher education facilities, and his concern about the job economy—all things which connect him to many of his voters and allow him to represent them in the best way possible.

Shoemyer himself grew up in the county of Shelby, in Clarence, on a family farm and thus is very committed to his rural values and beliefs. He calls himself the “voice for independent family farmers and Northeast Missouri” because of his long connection and love of the area. In his weekly column, he even reminded his citizens that harvest time is approaching so be sure to watch out for slow moving tractors and other vehicles on the roads.

SHOEMYER ON THE MOVE: If Shoemyer’s concern about area family farms and the constant love for his district is not convincing enough that he cares about his citizens, we also found that he is STILL continuing his dedication to improving the job economy, as we discussed in length in our last blog. This past week he attended the governor’s regional economic development meeting which was held on Truman State University’s campus. He met with many local experts and business leaders, as well as politicians, to begin forming goals to develop more jobs right here in Missouri. This aspect of Shoemyer’s agenda is very important to me as I will very soon be looking for a job and hope that the job market will start improving very soon, for everyone’s sake.

This
question is this, do you want to continue to have a state senator that connects with his citizens through common values and thus knows how to support and uphold their beliefs in the Missouri Senate? Then VOTE for Wes Shoemyer.

Will you vote for Shoemyer? Comment and let us know! The election will be here before you know it!
