Welcome!

Hi everyone and welcome to our blog, A New View on Shoe. This will come to be a one-stop shop for everything Wes Shoemyer. We're both undergrad political communication students and we'll be presenting politics in a more concise, appealing way. Our main goal is to inform our readers of the upcoming November election. We feel like it’s our responsibility as citizens of this city, county, and district to be informed of issues and to vote in local elections.

Throughout this journey, we'll definitely be welcoming and encouraging questions and comments from all concerned voters. Through writing this, we feel it’s our duty to find out and respond to what’s important to you, our reader. Our own opinions will also be mixed in with these responses so readers will quickly get to know us and our viewpoint throughout the campaign. So, please feel free to leave us a comment, question, or concern, anything at all.

After being students in this area for four years, we've come to realize how important the combination of community and university are. All thirteen counties in District 18 are important and therefore must work together to understand the issues and become informed voters. We encourage everyone to become educated about our candidates and also make sure they're registered and vote in the local election.

Most importantly, we'll be keeping tabs on Wes Shoemyer as Election Day nears. We will be passing along pertinent and fully researched information to you so that you'll know what's going on with his campaign. If we see Wes around town, we’ll speak with him and pass along your concerns. We’ll ask for clarification, answers, suggestions or plans- whatever you may want.

Check back often as we will be updating three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. We’ll be adding some background information of Wes, important issues in this election, and also suggestions of other good blogs we think you should keep up with in order to stay informed. See you soon!
